You know how it is… someone you know just has to send yet another joke to everyone they know. And there is your email address right there in the middle of about a hundred others. Feel like your privacy has been compromised? We do.
Well, all you mass-emailers out there listen up! Please… the next time you need to send a message to a bunch of people who don’t know each other, protect everyone’s privacy and put the email addresses in the “BCC:” address line instead of the “TO:” address line. Put your own email address in the “TO:” address line, hit Send, and everyone will get the message without seeing everyone else’s email address.
Don’t see the BCC address line? In Outlook, open a new email message and on the tool bar go to Options, and click “BCC”.
